Matches will be conducted on weekends only

General Rules

1. This tournament is open only for IT & ITES Companies.
2. Only one team per Company.
3. The players representing a Company should have been a confirmed employee and should have worked in that company for at least 6 months.
4. Registration: Please register at the earliest possible. The Registration is on first come first basis and we will review the same by 30th September 2017.
5. Team should submit the list of their team members along with copy of their ID cards 15 days before the start of the tournament, i.e. latest by 15th October 2017.
6. Dress Code: White “T” Shirts / uniform corporate “T” Shirts and ankle length Trousers (No Shorts) with proper Sports Shoes (No Slippers, Sandals, etc.).
7. Each team will have maximum 15 players (11 players and 4 Substitutes). Each match of the tournament will be played with 11-a side team. Team members once declared cannot be changed.
8. A player cannot represent more than one team.
9. The matches will be played with Tennis Ball.
10. All matches will be of 10 overs-a-side. The Semi-final and Finals will be of 12 overs-a -side.
11. All matches will be of knock out format.
12. Every team has to bring their bats. Stumps and ball will be provided by the organizer.
13. The Match Umpire and the Match Referee will decide the awards for the “Man of the Match” and the “Man of the Tournament”. Their decision shall be considered final and binding on all.
14. In case of rain / reasons which are beyond the control of the organizers, the matches will be shifted / postponed to another venue at the discretion of the organizers and the decision taken in this regard shall be binding on all the participating teams.
15. In case any rules and regulations are not mentioned herein, the Organisers are at liberty to take decision in such cases and the same shall be binding on all the participating teams / players.
16. Any team/ member or their supporters if indulging in misbehavior, verbal abuse or violence or bringing the game into disrepute of any kind (to be decided by the match umpire) will be disqualified from the tournament with immediate effect and the entry fee will not be refunded. Strict action will also be initiated according to law.

Match Rules and regulations

BOWLING RULES & POWERPLAY:
1. 10 Over-a-side Match = Maximum 2 Overs / Bowler; Semi Finals & Final: 12 Overs-a-side = 2 Bowlers can bowl maximum of 3 Overs each and rest of the bowlers can bowl a maximum 2 overs each.
2. No Ball: If a Bowler crosses the popping crease, the batting team will be awarded a free hit and one run will be granted to the batting side.
3. No L.B.W.
4. Byes are allowed.
5. For all dead-balls, the ball has to be re-bowled.
6. If there are any complaints against a bowler’s bowling action / chucking, the batsman facing the bowler in question has to report the incident to the umpire. If found guilty,the umpire will not allow the bowler to bowl further in that game, after one warning.
7. Over throws are applicable.
8. No runners are permitted.

FIELDING RESTRICTIONS:
1. At any point of time, no more than 5 fielders can be set on the boundary, which means that other than the wicket-keeper and the bowler at least 4 more fielders have to be inside the inner circle.

TEAM RULES
1. A match will start if at least 8 players are available from a particular team. If a team has less than 8 players, then the other team will be declared as the winner. If both the teams have less than 8 layers, the match will not be played and the winner will be decided by toss of coin i.e. who wins the toss wins the match.
2. All the teams should be present 1 hour before the start of the play and report to the scorer’s table.
3. If a team is late from the scheduled start of their match, their opponents will be given a walk over.
4. If there are any disagreements on-ground, only the captains are allowed to discuss the matters with the umpires.

TIME RULES
1a) 10 Overs-a-side: 30 Minutes will be given to the bowling team to complete their quota of 10 overs.
1b) If a team bowling first completes only 8 hours in the allotted time of 30 minutes, then they may complete bowling the full quota of 10 overs. However, they will be given 2 over less i.e. 8 overs to chase the score when they bat. If the team bowling second completes only 8 overs in the allotted time of 30 minutes, then they will be allowed to bowl their quota of 10 overs. However, their batting score will be reduced in proportion to their run rate.
2a) 12 Overs-a-side (Semi-finals & Final): 40 Minutes will be given to the bowling team to complete their quote of 12 overs.
2b) If a team bowling first completes only 10 hours in the allotted time of 40 minutes, then they may complete bowling the full quota of 12 overs. However, they will be given 2 over less i.e. 10 overs to chase the score when they bat. If the team bowling second completes only 10 overs in the allotted time of 30 minutes, then they will be allowed to bowl their quota of 12 overs. However, their batting score will be reduced in proportion to their run rate.
3. Innings break for all the matches would be 5 minutes. For Semi-finals & finals, the innings break would be for 15 minutes.

TIE-BREAKER RULES
1. In case of a tie, the team that loses lesser number of wickets is the Winner.
2. A Super Over also known as a one-over eliminator will be used when two teams finish with the same score and loses the same number of wickets in a match.
3. For the Super Over, each team will nominate three batsmen and a bowler. The team that scores the most runs in its Super Over is the winner of the match.
4. If still it is a tie, then the team that loses lesser number of wickets will be declared the winner.
5. If still it is a tie, then the winner will be decided by Toss of Coin i.e. who wins the toss will be declared the Winner.

SCORING RULES
1. Scorers are from the Organisers. One substitute team member of those teams playing a particular match can be present at the Scorer’s Table.
