About the Trek
CrazyYatra Mumbai brings to you Weekend Monsoon Day Trek to KONDANA CAVES & RAJAMACHI FORT – A spectacular, scenic & breathtaking destination for Trekkers, Nature lovers, Travelers, Photographers and enthusiasts.
Kondana Caves – A total of 16 rock-cut Buddhist caves dating back to 1st century BC in the Kondana Village with some amazing history, carvings, inscriptions, stupas, sculptures that give us insight into the ancient Buddhist architecture. Not to miss waterfall enroute
Rajmachi Fort – This is one of the many historical forts in the rugged hills of Sahydri mountain. Rajmachi Fort (Killa) consists of two twin fortresses Shriwardhan Ballekilla and Manaranjan Balekilla, with a wide Machi (plateau) surrounding the two Balekillas. Udhewadi is a small village of about 22 houses stuated on the Machi (plateau), at the southern foot of Manaranjan Balekilla of Rajmachi Fort.
There are 2 routes to reach Rajmachi Fort – via Karjat & via Lonavla both of which are scenic during rainy season turns in a Nature’s paradise with water streams, several waterfalls springing up, clouds covered skies, green landscapes across & to top it up the Monsoon showers…. Truly a heaven on earth!!!!

07:00: After a brief introduction, we shall start our ride in Tum-tum autos to Kondana Village
08:00: Have breakfast and get ready for 1st leg of Trek & Hiking to explore Kondana Caves
08:30: Start Trek to Kondana Caves
09:00: Reach Kondana Caves. Explore, click, pose, get mesmerized and cherish these moments
09:30: Start trekking to RAJMACHI & get set to conquer Shrivardhan Fort crossing lush green landscapes, playing with rains, having fun along the trek, treading through water streams, mesmerized by nature and beauty with fellow CrazyYatri’s
13:00: Reach the base village of RAJMACHI fort and break for lunch
14:00: Start trek ascent to conquer the awesome Shrivardhan Fort
14:45: Explore, click some Crazy pics with group, reel in the nature, relax & start descent
16:00: Reach Rajmachi base & Start decent back to Kondana Village with all the Crazy Trekkers
18:00: From Kondana Village take back Crazy Tum Tum auto ride to Karjat Station – Yohooo… You have done it ☺ let’s take a group selfie…!!!
19:00: Back to Karjat Station, some snacks/tea and get onto Aamchi Mumbai Local to head back home

Amchi Mumbai Yatri’s: Catch the early morning 4:30AM train between CST to Khopoli to reach Karjat by 06:40AM.
