Overview
Engage Sports Academy(ESA) is organizing its 1st Open Badminton Tournament – 2018 on 12th, 19th & 26th October 2018. Event “Grand Opening Tournament”
Engage Sports welcomes all Badminton players to participate in this tournament and make the Best show of Play and Strokes.
Tournament has Nine main categories with play Levels to participate for players.
Each of this Category entitles exciting REWARDS as TROPHIES, MEDALS, GIFT VOUCHERS AND MANY MORE…

Tournament Categories
Tournament has 9 main categories for players to register and player/s can register under their Play Level mentioned in each of the category.
Categories to Register: :<b>
1. Men Doubles
Levels : A*, B+, B, C+, C, D, Beginner, 80+*
*minimum entries are required to conduct the particular category event
*A Level Entry - One Elite with B+ or B Level, Two A Level Players
*80+ Level Entry - Elite or A Level players are excluded
*Elite Open XD* - Elite player with B+ or lower level player
2. Women Doubles
Levels : C+, C, D, Beginner
3. Mixed Doubles
Levels : B+, B, C+, C, D, Beginner
4. ELITE OPEN XD*
Note 1 : Play Level is self assessed by Player/s during the registration time. However, organizing committee will decide final leveling of each entry.
Note 2 : Minimum 12 entries required for conducting any category event. If the entry is less than the minimum requirement, then the category event will be cancelled.
Tournament Rules
Tournament Rules<b>
1. All matches will be played according to standard badminton tournament practices and rules.
2. Each player can participate in multiple categories per tournament day.
*minimum entries are required to conduct the particular category event
*A Level Entry - One Elite with B+ or B Level, Two A Level Players
*80+ Level Entry - Elite or A Level players are excluded
*Elite Open XD* - Elite player with B+ or lower level player
3. Player/s are required to show-up at least 30 minutes before their first/subsequent match.
4. Player/s who is/are not present in the court after their match is announced will be considered in
default and winner by walkover will be awarded to the opponent.
5. Umpire's decision will prevail at all times.
6. Line judges will be assigned during championship matches only.
7. Medical time-outs will be limited to 2x per match for 5 minutes each.
8. The organizing committee will decide final leveling of each entry. Users can enroll as per their self assessed play
level, however organizing committee will review and finalize by informing Player/s.
9. Organizing committee shall upgrade as option or disqualify Player/s who are registered at Lower levels upon
assessment if Player/s disagree to play in suggested level. No refund of registration fees will be done. Team shall get
disqualified even if its Single Player failing the assessment.
10. Organizing committee reserves the right to accept or reject/disqualify entries at its own discretion at any time.
Registration Requirements & Fees
1. Player/s can register for multiple categories.
2. Registration fee is AED 200 per team for any Category (AED 100 per player).
3. Last date for Registration is 06th October, 2018. Registrations will only be confirmed upon full payment of
fees.
4. Player/s may be required to present their ID for identification (Please ensure to carry Emirates ID during the
tournament)
5. No refund of registration fees on cancellation. Player/s can replace their entry with other Player/s before the
tournament start date(please contact organizing committee members for any replacements)
6. Minimum 12 entries required for conducting any category event. If the entry is less than the minimum requirement,
then the category event will be cancelled.

By Registering to this Tournament, Player ( I ) will confirm that all the personal information and play Level (A*,B+,B, C+,C,D, Beginners, 80+*, ELITE OPEN XD*) provided is accurate. I acknowledge that participation in this program is undertaken at my own risk. I understand that no liability of personal injury, loss or damage to personal effects is accepted by Engage Sports or its employees whilst attending the Centre. I acknowledge and comply with Engage Sports rules and conditions of this program. I am aware that by signing this form I am waiving the legal rights including the right to sue.
