Overview
Hulukudi Betta is one of the unexplored places nearby the Silicon Valley of India. The journey for Hulukudi Betta begins once you board the bus with us. Traveling with a bunch of trekkers, a two-hour trip would take you to the railway trekking spot of India. Hulukudi Betta is about 70kms away from Bangalore, which makes it the nearest weekend getaway to spend your weekend. It is a very short trekking expedition of about 4-5kms, starting from the base camp to the top of the hill. On reaching the base camp in the Doddaballapur district, the outdoor leader would brief about the do’s and don’t, trail and few tips for the trekkers. Hulukudi Betta is more of a religious place, rather than a trekking destination. From the top of the hill, you can have a splendid view of the nearby village. Veerabadhra Swamy Temple is one of the temples which holds religious importance and is famous for 4 feet tall statue of Lord Veerabadhra (also known as Nataraja). Lord Veerabadhra is the reincarnated form of Lord Shiva. In the vicinity of Hulukudi Betta, there are other small temples located to pay a visit. The best part about this miniature hill is the trekking can commence from any part of the hill, in and around. The trail makes trekking to the hill as one of the most convenient treks, where the Trekker doesn’t have a fear of getting lost or losing the usual trail. Exploring the top of Hulukudi Betta, and enjoying serene nature would make your weekend worthwhile. Rest for as long as you want to have photography sessions, enjoying solitude and admiring nature from the viewpoint. After a while, we descend taking the regular trail towards the base camp, heading back to Bangalore.
