What better time to join us than the upcoming weekend? We have a perfect plan to make the most of your weekend - A wonderful trek to Kudremukha. Read on to know the plan!

Kuduremukha literally means 'horse-face' (in the Kannada language) and refers to a particular picturesque view of a side of the mountain that resembles a horse's face. This is currently the highest peak in Karnataka which can be accessed legally via trekking. With lush green meadows laying out like a green carpet throughout, this place can be called as the Green Himalayas of the South! You will b wonder-stuck gazing at the beautiful scenaries and landscapes throughout the trek. We will cross a lot of water streams and waterfalls on the way in the trek. Of course, we will say Hi to the friendly leeches too :)

The peak is at a distance of around 9 kms from basecamp at Mullodi. So, that makes the total trekking distance 18 kms. The entire trekone way can be split into phases - Trek difficulty level from "Mullodi" to Lobo's house trek is easy. From Lobo's house to "Ontimara" difficulty level is Moderate. There are couple of small stretch in which trail becomes steep. From Ontimara till end of Zig-Zag route trekis bit difficult. From "Zig-Zag trail" end till peak it is again moderate in difficulty level. Overall difficulty level is moderate. Though not suggested for first-time trekkers, if you have the will & grit to conquer the peak then be positive and join us - we will ensure to make this a worthwhile experience for you!

The basecamp is at a remote place and is suitable for our itinerary since it is right at the starting point of the trek. Stay will be in dormitory - Sleeping bags / Bed sheets will be provided by us.We will do our best to ensure you are comfortable but please do not expect luxury facilities since this is right at the heart of Nature. Common washrooms are available at the basecamp.

As part of the trip, we will also visit the very famous Hornadu temple, seek blessings of Goddess Annapoorneshwari and have prasadam at the temple (The lunch is considered to be one of the best here). On the way back, we will also explore the famous historical site of Belur.
