The Event
Competition - a word that is all-too familiar for businesses, both big and small. In the day-to- day arena, there is constant oneupmanship over who has the better tech, or which product comes with superior specs or features. If you are a startup or a corporate, you know what it is like to be working harder than others to prove yourself and go in for the win.<br>It is this spirit of endurance, single-minded focus on the goal and the ability to stretch when needed, that we want to test. However, the results will be decided not in a boardroom, but in an actual sporting arena.<br>The second edition of the YourStory-Playo Startup Sports League is an epic occasion for startup and corporate sports enthusiasts to test their mettle on the field. Of course, off-field weapons that you wield every day, including how well you work together as a team, how quickly you can think on your feet and other strategic skills will work to your advantage.
Event Rules
A company may register upto 2 teams per sports.<br>Management reserves the right to cancel or disqualify any entry/team if found in violation of any rules of the tournament

Rules & Regulations
Football 5v5
<br>- 5 Players on each side, 3 substitutes allowed<br>- 20 mins game time<br>- League cum knockout format<br>- Goal keeper change allowed but only during any stoppage<br>- No throw ins, ball is kicked in if it goes out of play<br>- Rough play will be penalised<br>- Referee's decision is final<br>- General 5 aside football rules will apply unless mentioned above or on the day of the event<br><br><br>Cricket 6v6(Box Cricket)
<br>- 6 Players on each side, 2 substitutes allowed<br>- Matches will be played with a Tennis Ball<br>- League cum knockout<br>- 6 overs each side<br>- Max of 2 overs per bowler<br>- Ball has to pitch ahead of the center line otherwise it will be considered as NO BALL<br>- No under arm ball allowed<br>- NO BALLS and WIDE will not be counted as official ball and 1 run will be scored by the opponent team<br>- Wicket keepers are allowed to change anytime<br>- Ball going directly outside the Box without interference by opponent team will be considered as OUT<br>- In case of Tie, Super Over will be played<br>- The Non Striker has to stand completely inside the STUMP BOX<br>- General box cricket rules will apply unless mentioned above or on the day of the event<br>- Umpire's decision cannot be challenged<br><br><br>Basketball 3v3
<br>- Each team consists of three players and one substitute<br>- The game is played on a half-court, with one basket<br>- A jump ball is not used to start the game. Instead, a coin toss is held immediately before the game.<br>- The winning team can choose to take possession of the ball at the start of the game, or take the first possession of a potential overtime period
- Every successful shot inside the arc is awarded one point, while every successful shot behind the arc is awarded two points<br>- League cum knockout format<br>- Substitution can occur only during a dead ball situation<br>- Each team is allowed one timeout<br>- Referees decision is final<br><br><br>Badminton
<br>- Non marking shoes are a must, alternatively you have to play barefoot <br>- Rackets are available on rent at the venue at an extra cost but are subject to availability<br>- It is recommended to carry your own non-marking shoes & rackets<br>- Mixed Doubles format<br>- League cum knockout<br>- Mavis 350 shuttle to be used<br>- Standard Badminton rules apply unless otherwise mentioned<br>- Umpire’s decision is final<br><br><br>Throwball
<br>- Dimensions of the court will be smaller than the standard throwball courts<br>- 4 players + 2 subs per team<br>- Team is a mixed gender team with a minimum of 2 female players playing<br>- League cum knockout<br>- Standard Thowball rules apply unless otherwise mentioned<br>- Umpire’s decision is final<br><br>
